You will be asked to apply for a new DBS certificate in certain circumstances when Step Teachers cannot verify details on the original certificate.
You will need to apply for or provide a new DBS certificate in the following situations:
- Your DBS doesn't include all the names you have been known by.
- You have a conviction which doesn't show on your original DBS.
- You've lost the original certificate.
- Your subscription to the update service has expired due to a failed payment with the DBS.
- The position applied for on your DBS is for Adult Workforce.
- The DBS certificate is for Voluntary work
