After your school has used the services of one of our candidates, your Step Teachers consultant will contact you at the end of the day to discuss their performance. This is part of our Continual Assessment of Teaching (CAT) process, which ensures we monitor the quality of our candidates in real time.
We value your feedback on various aspects of the candidate’s performance, including:
- Arrival Time and Professionalism – Was the candidate punctual and well-prepared for the assignment?
- Appearance and Dress – Did the candidate meet the required standards of professionalism in their attire?
- Classroom/Support Duties and Ability – How did the candidate perform in their assigned role, whether in the classroom or supporting staff? Were they effective and engaged
- Relationships with Staff and Children – How did the candidate interact with both students and school staff? Were they collaborative and positive?
The feedback you provide is shared with the candidate to help them improve and grow. This process allows us to spot areas that may require further attention or training, ensuring that we address potential issues before they escalate. It also gives us the opportunity to highlight positive behaviour and performance, which we relay back to the candidate, boosting morale and reinforcing good practice.
To ensure a consistent approach, this feedback process is repeated every fifth day the candidate is at your school. This ongoing assessment allows us to support their development and ensure that the candidates we provide meet the high standards you expect.
Your insights are invaluable in supporting candidate growth and helping maintain the highest standards in education and support. If you have any feedback to share, please don’t hesitate to contact your Step Teachers consultant.
